Minority Report, Vol.3

Long gone are the days of Claudia, Cindy, Linda and George Michael videos…unfortunately, nowadays the runways are not only nameless–they are colorless too. And since we have no time for the Ebony Fashion Fair (no diss, just busy!), we created The Minority Report to be used so when you actually see a minority on the runway, you know their name! For our third edition–we give you two Parlour favorites reppin’ Jamaica and Kenya with a NY legend in the mix.

Ajuma Nasenyana

Recent & Notable Shows
Charles Nolan

Sue Stemp
Diane Von Furstenberg
Vivienne Westwood

Status: Legend
Origin: US
Age: 50+
Parlour Note: Pat is a runway legend with a walk to DIE for. Born in NY in the late 50’s, she was discovered by Vogue’s Carrie Donovan while riding the subway. At 21, she moved to Paris to model for just about everyone you can name, returning to the US in 1974. She became one of the world’s most notable faces, gracing major magazine covers and donning the catwalk with her signature style. She made a famed return to the runway in 2003 to walk for her old friends Stephen Burrows, Bill Blass and Gattinoni. Her daughter, Anna van Ravenstein made her modeling debut that same year, walking for Chanel. She is a living icon! Check out her style below.
