News Bites: Ebony Up for Sale; Teabaggers Exposed; Beating Death of Chicago Teen; Costa Rica Prepares for the “Big One”

Clutch Mag ran a video of protesters in DC last month opposing President Obama’s health care plan and more. The ignorance in this is alarming. [Clutchmagonline.com]

Four teenagers in Chicago were charged with murder after fatally beating a 16-year old honor roll student as he found himself in the middle of a brawl between two rival groups. To make matters worse, the entire incident was captured on tape while students watched and did nothing. Nas stood up and wrote a letter in response yesterday. Glad to see someone standing up and speaking out about this. Madness. [NY Times] [NecoleBitchie.com]

For over a decade, scientists have been predicting an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 under the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Apparently, it’s expected to last up to 60 seconds, causing wreckage on the peninsula and possibly launching a tsunami at Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. Now, residents are starting to take heed and prepare for the worst. [GlobalPost]
