Have something to say about the importance of diversity in America? Tired of close-minded, narrow perspectives and ready to make a difference? Parlour has partnered with Breakthrough, a non-profit organization designed to promote global human rights, to help spread the word about their newest campaign, I AM THIS LAND, a video contest that aims to start conversations about diversity, acceptance and the future of America.
The process is pretty straight-forward. All you have to do is make a video using the phrase “I AM THIS LAND” to express your hope for a positive and open-minded America. You can make any type of video: an animation, short documentary, music video or any other genre or mash-up…whatever your flavor. The videos will be uploaded to the official Web site and judged by the public. The top 15 will be voted on by a panel of judges including music video director Liz Friedlander and Sharon Jones from Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.
