Don Jazzy Remixes D’Banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’: Listen!

I hate you - D'Banj. I hate you too - Don Jazzy.

I had the pleasure of seeing Nigerian star D’Banj in concert earlier this year at New York City’s Irving Plaza, which was packed with fans clamouring to hear his hit “Oliver Twist.” The Koko Master’s international smash recently received a remix from Don Jazzy who is no longer his partner in Mo’ Hits Records, according to Not Just OK. I stepped in the middle of the two’s feud by accident via my EBONY interview with D’Banj, you can see the madness in the comments, but listen to Don Jazzy’s “Oliver Twist” remix on OkayAfrica.  I like it, it’s funky and I’ve included D’Banj’s clip for “Oliver Twist,” featuring Kanye West who recently brought the Naija artist into the G.O.O.D. Music fold. D’Banj on working with Kanye West:

Kanye doesn’t try to change you. He has great ears and great people working with him. I learned the way people do music in America is different, number one, the budget. You don’t have to rush a song, you can take your time. I was glad because I have a studio in my home but I thought I was doing too much. I’ve been working with everyone else on G.O.O.D. Music too and John Legend and I worked together in London recently. It’s been great experience, I just beg people to listen with an open mind.
