Pink sunrises, breakfast on the beach (or in bed), a quick swim and then food and fun with the world’s best chefs, food influencers and friends? This is everyday for us in late November when we head to Barbados for their annual Food, Wine, Rum Festival. Why The House, Tamarind and Colony Club?
Location! With St. James being the culinary and style center for the island, it’s ground zero for all things Food Wine Rum. All of our properties are minutes away from Limegrove Centre with it’s luxury shoppes and cafes, and Holetown with it’s variety of cool bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Popular nightlife must-dos such as Oistins and The Gap are just a short ride (10 min) down the road.

In addition to all three properties included among the top 25 out of 103 hotels in Barbados, each one boasts it’s own unique personality. After staying at all three properties, we can say that Tamarind (our fave) is lively and fun with everything happening on the beach or poolside, The Colony Club’s gardens and lagoons make for sophistication and quiet charm, and The House’s adult-only vibe take Caribbean chic to another level. And with their close proximity, groups of friends can bounce from one hotel to another with their private ferry to take in all three. Also, in true Parlour tradition, all three properties are easy on your wallet without sacrificing the luxe you expect—because ballin’ on a budget is always in style!

See you in Barbados!

Yes! I saw the festival pics from last year and told myself I would not miss out this year. I had been looking at Tamarind for me and my girls and maybe Colony Club for for my mom and Auntie, so this came at the right time. I also like the fact that the hotel didn’t charge my card upfront, nice touch for us budgetistas Parlour!
