Travel Deal: Dare To Explore Curaçao

What happens when you mix the culture of West Africa, the look of Amsterdam and the criollo flavors of Latin America? The Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao. Located off of the coast of Venezuela, Curaçao is known as the “crown jewel” of the Dutch Antilles or Dutch Caribbean, next to Aruba, Bonaire, and Sint Maarten (not to be confused with the French St. Maarten). Much like Grand Cayman and Trinidad, Curaçao is an island where the history of it’s people is truly reflected in everything, from the architecture to the language and the food. And this spring, the entire island is basically on sale for you to explore!

For travel between now and June 1st, and September 15 to November 15th, you can save up to 50% off of your hotel stay, get free nights and room upgrades, discounts on diving, dining and other attractions island wide via a variety of partners. Go to the Dare To Explore Curacao site today to plan what works for you, I pretty much dreamed up my fantasy visit (while sitting on a bench in kinda-not-that-warm New York City) and came up with this sample itinerary to get you started on yours:

My Dates: September 18th to 22nd
The Hotel: The Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort (because I’m fancy)
The Room: King Resort View
The Price: $597*, a savings of $270 or over 30%
via Booking.Com

As far as attractions, I’m totally down for a Miss Ann Boat Trip and a nice discount at Restaurant Zambezi after I pretend to befriend some ostriches at the neighboring farm. I know, I’m weird but I’d totally do it and you know you want to!

After a thorough review, it seems you can pretty much plan around what you like to do, be it diving, touring, or just beach chilling. And from what I can tell, you can still receive your hotel loyalty points with your stay, but definitely call first. Check out the website to plan yours today and tell us when you do. Tweet it to @parlourmagazine so we can shout you out! Have fun!

*total price is for all four nights and before taxes
