Introducing ASOS AfricaIncurable ASOS.com shopping addicts that we are, you can imagine how we received the news that they’re doing an African fashion line. ASOS Africa is an off-shoot of The Green Room, a line-up of fashion and beauty brands, ASOS.com own-label collections and a series of ASOS.com collaborations with artisans and small producer groups – all with the aim of supporting social and environmental awareness.

ASOS Africa is a capsule collection of clothing and accessories designed, sourced and produced in collaboration with several small communities in Africa. It will offer contemporary silhouettes such as jumpsuits, playsuits, blazers and cropped trousers all re-worked using African Kanga’s – the vivid printed cottons traditionally worn throughout Eastern Africa – as well as handmade leather accessories. ASOS Africa’s  clothing prices ranging from £15 -£75 and accessories from £18 -£32.

Its launch coincides with Fairtrade Fortnight, The Fairtrade Foundation’s annual two week awareness campaign which this year runs from 22 Feb – 7 March.

VH1 may be All About Pep, but V Magazine is giving you a little throwback to the glory days of the dynamic duo- Salt ‘n’ Pepa. While this shoot lacks a little flavor-  I’m loving the great use of accessories on all of the looks. Still, where is all of the Lycra, red leather boots, 8-ball jackets and most importantly womanly curves! The photographer for this shoot is Josh Olins and it was styled by Clare Richardson.
