Parlour loves all things Brasil and all things shoes, so naturally one of our new favorite designers is Brasilian-born, Chie Mihara. It all started last holiday season during an impulsive Saturday at Bergdorf’s when we picked up our first pair-– it was love at first slip-on. Aside from great design, the fit is superb and we swear you can run at least three city blocks in them.

(a glimpse of her new collection)
Chie trained in Japan and New York City, and after moving to Spain, working for Charles Jourdan and starting a family – she debuted her own line in 2001. Her handmade designs are a mix of the whimsical and witty, and most importantly she doesn’t compromise the sexy for comfort. In her own words “The concept of my work is design, comfort and quality…I like to create things that has something to communicate a feeling, a state of mind, or a state of heart…That’s what I want to do…give a little happiness with my creations.â€
