Frida Kahlo Exhibition
@ The Philadelphia Museum of Art
Through May 18, 2008
While Philly may be known for cheesesteaks and murals more than museums, the City of Brotherly Love has always been a destination for cutting edge art, music and fashion. True to form, Philly is the only east coast stop in this touring exhibition of one of the greatest visual artists in history. In celebration of what would be Frida Kahlo’s 100th birthday, this exhibition of over 40 paintings has been drawing heavy crowds. In addition to her self-portraits, the Mexican visionary’s still-life and portraits are also on exhibition.
