Hillary Clinton is still trying to pay off her $6 million campaign debt.  Her latest idea: to host a lottery, with tickets at $5 a pop.  The lovely prizes include a day with Bill Clinton in New York (woo woo!!), a trip to the American Idol Finale in Los Angeles or a flight to Washington for you and a guest for a tour of the District with political operatives and commentators James Carville and Paul Begala (interesting)… [Washington Post]

It’s getting pretty ugly off the coast of Somalia.  Just as the U.S. is sending more naval forces to rescue U.S. hostage Capt. Richard Phillips, Somalian pirates are also sending for back-up.  [New York Times]

The U.S. is not the only country calling for a bailout.  Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso unveiled a new stimilus package calling for 15 trillion yen ($150 billion) in government spending to lift their struggling economy from recession. [Gulf News]

Just what we need–another Web site to watch music videos.  YouTube and Universal Music Group announced yesterday that they are creating an online hub for music videos and related content, called Vevo. just announced that they too are launching a music video site.  Why would I go to a new site when I can find everything that I want on my favorite blogs?  [New York Times]
