Rachel says, “Whoever you are, you can be who you want and whatever you want to be if you just put your mind to it, and have ambition and determination”. Wise words. I’m not a fan of beauty contests myself, but hey if you wanna take part in them then go for it — and it’s a good achievement for Rachel. And for her to win in the same week that I was racially abused on London’s streets for the first time in 10 years, that’s another story — things like her win continue to give me hope!

So good luck at Miss World in South Africa Rachel!
