Is your skin feeling flaky, itchy or parched? Then reach for these yummy, indulgent creams — all of which have a tropical or summery vibe.
Try Korres Guava Body Butter, $21 (above left). Visit DermaDoctor.com
There’s something so seductive about the scent of guava. Really, I’m baffled that more skincare companies haven’t integrated this tropical fruit into their ingredient lists. The cream is rich without being sticky or taking too long to absorb, and it both hydrates and softens the skin, making it perfect for summer months (especially when you take the whimsical guava scent into account).
Philip B Cucumber & Blue Orchid Hand & Body Cream, $12.50 for 2 fl. oz. and $47.50 for 6 fl. oz (pic’t above right). Visit PhilipB.com
Originally introduced in 1994, Philip B’s Cucumber & Blue Orchid Hand & Body Cream was re-released this year due to popular demand. The new-and-improved formula boasts cooling cucumber extract and blue orchid essence, as well as Vitamins A and E, Panthenol (which helps to increase cellular turnover), and a combination of peptides that boost collagen production, restoring elasticity and tightening the skin to give it a firmer, more youthful appearance.
More after the jump!
True Blue Naked Cotton Dress Light Shea Body Lotion, $15. Visit BathAndBodyWorks.com
Boasting hydrating shea butter and olive oil and antioxidant-rich Vitamin E, this lightweight lotion caresses your skin like a cotton sundress would, softening the skin without making you feel sticky or balmy. The scent, meanwhile, is so airy and subtle that you won’t have to worry about spraying on perfume and having the fragrances clash.
