Picture 1

If you are in NY, no doubt you are beginning to get swept up in the madness known as Fashion Week, but tonight all over the world, major fashion hubs will be celebrating Fashion’s Night Out, aka “please start shopping so the fashion industry can stay alive” events. Because we love you, I have been scouring the ‘net and unchecked emails for cool things to do in New York, Los Angeles, and DC that don’t involve you dropping major coin or having to run into Anna Wintour (scary!), feel free to add your own jewels in the comments. Everything is velvet-rope free, so just walk on in!

New York: Make your way to my former 2nd home, Bergdorf Goodman to see Andre Leon Talley host a Fashion Rules game show, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen play bartender and Issac Mizrahi perform a caberet act. Actually, I just may go to this and follow ALT around—or faint. 754 Fifth Ave., nr. 57th St.

New York: Parlour-approved songstress Melania Fiona will be giving shoppers music to jam to at the Steve Madden store on 355 Bleecker Street from 7:30-9:30pm. For a preview of what Ms. Fiona can do, check her out here.

London: At the Topshop on Great Castle St/Oxford Circus (W1W), model Jourdann Dunn (pictured at the top) will be your gracious stylist while you browse in the Vogue concept store, sip champagne and boogie to the in-store DJ.Seeing how you guys are 5 hours ahead…hurry on over!

Los Angeles: At the Moods of Norway shop, everything is 75% off. Plus, champagne and waffles….waffles! 113 S. Robertson Blvd.

Los Angeles: It seems all of the fashionistas will be at Fred Segal Melrose for what literally sounds like a fashion open house. Check my copy & paste skills (thanks LA Times!): Chan Luu will showcase her newest wrap bracelets, Rory Beca will debut her “Willy Wonka”-themed fall collection, Paige Geller will demonstrate how to “destroy” your own jeans (love that), and Whitley Kros designers Sophia Coloma and Marissa Ribisi will teach shoppers how to perfect the oversized T-shirt look and introduce a limited-edition style available that night only. Michelle Wenke and Megan George, of L.A.-based line Monrow, will sell a limited-edition T-shirt for $102, autographed by supermodel Amber Valletta, as well as offer customers a free canvas tote with purchase. For the denim inclined, J Brand Gallery will offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal with any regular-priced J Brand purchase. Rocker-turned-clothing designer Pete Wentz’s Clandestine Industries brand will show its teacher’s dirty looks fall collection, (Wentz will join shoppers in a round or two of the board game Guess Who? from 8 to 9 p.m.). Cobra Snake will be snapping photos and selling T-shirts, while Nike designers are on hand to customize shoes and much more.

New York: Opening Ceremony has decided to throw a block party with Alexander Wang, Lazaro Hernandez and Scott Sternberg and more. Be the first to see the designers hawk their wares out of custom-made cars, and then when you are done, mozy over to the Thai Tie truck that will be shelling out desserts from Momofuku’s pasrty chef.

New York: Just in time for the release of his debut album, check out Kid Cudi over at the A Bathing Ape flagship in Soho. Guys, food, drinks, cool sneakers, slim jeans, black-rimmed glasses…you know the drill. 6-11pm. 91 Greene Street.

New York: In the middle of all of the madness, hitting a pharmacy might be a good thing. Stop by C.O. Bigelow aka the Barney’s of apothecaries, to pick up your free tube of Mentha Lip Shine (lip balm x peppermint oil = great) and sip soda from their vintage fountain. Sixth Avenue at 9th Street.

Washington, DC: Head to U Street to jam to the sounds of DJ Munch (we love!) at the Lettie Gooch Boutique. Light refreshments and cocktails will be served and a style consultant will be there to help you piece a look together. Big treat, Lettie carries Skunk Funk…one of my favorite new labels I picked up in Madrid. A win! 1517 U St. NW

New York: So we hear that Magnolia Bakery is doing a special cupcake…but let’s be real, they are as dry as the desert. Sooo, head on to Club Monaco, who will have their tricked-out, fashionable CupcakeStop Truck out in front of the store. 121 Prince Street @ 8pm.

London: Check out a live Vogue photoshoot in Chanel (26 Old Bond St). 7-9pm

Washington, DC: After you hit Lettie Gooch, walk one block to the Caramel Boutique for wine and discounts up to 50% off. 1603 U St. NW. 8-11pm.

Brooklyn, New York: Long-standing boutique Pieces of Brooklyn is hosting a fashion show featuring BK-based designers, art-show and some chat & chew from 7:30-11pm. 671 Vanderbilt Avenue @ Park Place.

New York: If you are feeling a little dirty after the BAPE sausage-fest, head down the street to Korres for a “detox” cocktail, complimentary makeup touch-up and a gift bag full of their best sellers. They make the best body-wash, btw. 110 Wooster near Prince St.

New York: If you have never felt your arms inside of a Mackage coat, then head over to their first-ever retail boutique to try one on. Model Irina Lazareanu will be the DJ for the evening and celeb-stylist Phillip Bloch will be the on-hand stylist. 7-11pm, 829 Washington St @ Gansevoort.

Check back throughout the day for more to come!
