At least someone’s doing something right: DC’s voted this week in favor of same-sex marriage. If passed, the new bill would allow same-sex couples from around the country to marry in the District. Let’s just hope it doesn’t get shot down by Congress……… or the Catholic Church. [NYT]
Policy analysts have been questioning the way in which the Census is tallied, noting that the collection of data on prisoners paints an inaccurate picture. Government funding to the municipalities is distributed based on Census results: should inmates be counted as part of the communities they came from, or the ones they’re serving their sentence?
