Rihanna’s ‘Reb’l Fleur’ Fragrance Arrives

Not to be outdone by creating a dozen hair trends and inspiring us to believe in bodysuits, Rihanna is officially entering the world of perfume. Her scent, “Reb’l Fleu” (Rebel Flower) is set to debut in 2011 and we’ve got the first look at the packaging above. The scent seems to reflect Rihanna’s West-Indian roots well:

“The fragrance is an intense and daring fruity chypre, composed of sophisticated floral notes: tuberose, violet and hibiscus, — with a splash of coconut water, — over the light and smooth base, the combination of the final notes evokes the impression of warm skin. The perfume was created by Caroline Sabas and Marypierre Julien of Givaudan.”

Peep the bottle design below. While I like the description, something about the design reminds me of something sold by Avon in 1988. Still, I’m a slave to a good scent so it gets a pass if it’s as sultry as it sounds.  Thoughts ladies?
