On a sad holiday note, soul legend Teena Marie was found dead in her home on December 26th, 2010. She was discovered by her daughter and police are saying that she more than likely succumbed to natural causes. Her voice often caused listeners to do a double-take when they discovered that all of that soul came out of a white girl from California, but she had plenty of influence growing up in Oakwood. In 1976 she signed to Motown and the rest is music history. The epitome of fabulous, surely she wouldn’t want you to smear your mascara with tears! So today ladies, finish off that spiked egg-nog, throw on some killer heels and dance your heart our to the classic sounds of Lady Tee. Start with her classics below:
–
“Lovergirl” | 1985
–
“I Need Your Lovin'” | 1980
–
“Fire & Desire” | 1981
–
“Portuguese Love” | 1980
–
“Square Biz”
