Last night, as I worked the night shift, a bunch on my buddies saw Young Jeezy perform in New York City. Finally. His upcoming album TM103 has been “coming” for what feels like forever, but in true Def Jam fashion, the Atlanta MC held a concert with a live band as a press conference where he announced his LP’s release date, September 20. Are you sure LA Reid doesn’t work there anymore? In addition, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Fabolous, Bun B and D-Block popped by for a few sets to really make the crowd go crazy — Get it? Go Crazy? Anyway … — all and all it looked like a good time on the Ustream and MissInfo.tv.
Elsewhere, Feist announced her new album is coming. Says HitFix.com “Metals will be released on October 4 and and includes contributions from longtime collaborators Mocky and Chilly Gonzales, plus Valgeir Sigurðsson who has helped out with Bjork and Bonnie “Prince” Billy.”
