Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ Video Digs into Her Past?: Watch It!

Wow. I must say I knew Rihanna‘s “We Found Love” was a hit when I first heard it but I didn’t really care, you know? Like a Britney Spears song that everyone loves and you’d rather just listen to Adele again. But this video, directed by Melina Matsoukas and shot around the U.K., is actually really interesting. It’s a look at overly-passionate love and perhaps a peek into Rih-Rih’s car fight with Chris Brown … depicted with a guy that looks like Chris Brown. Meta.

The clip’s introduction has a voiceover saying:

“It’s like you’re screaming but no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could that be that important, that without them you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless like nothing can save you. And when it’s over and it’s gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so you could have the good.”

This whole thing reminds me of that Agyness Deyn and Dr. Marten advert film that dropped earlier this year … just me? Anyway, watch below and tell me what you think:
