This year, the Parlour ladies celebrated our four year anniversary. Following our New York celebration in May, we decided to host a small gathering in London recently at Tiwani Contemporary gallery alongside the lovely Gabrielle Smith of IamtheNuBlack.com, who is also celebrating four years of her diasporic arts and culture website.
It was a lovely evening indeed, including a screening of AfterGlow, a new short film by British-Ghanaian filmmaker Baff Akoto. (UK collective: if you haven’t seen it already, the film will be screening at the London Jazz Festival this weekend.)
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to take part in the festivities!
