
Last summer, music fans who made the trek to Manchester, Tennessee for the four-day Bonnaroo Music Festival came back with a myth. His name is Michael Eugene Archer, also known as D’Angelo and for his first U.S. performance in 12 years, he and Questlove paired up to surprise fans and give them the jam session of a lifetime, featuring musicians from both The Roots Crew and veteran musicians from Prince’s stable. In anticipation for this year’s festival, the good folks over at Bonnaroo are releasing a multi-part documentary on how it all went down. We know a few Parlouristas who were there last year, it’s like a crunchy Coachella—road trip ladies? Check out D’Angelo below:
